Helping Your Organization to Improve Process and Product Quality

Process Consulting Services

AUTOSIG (Automotive Special Interest Group) Group of Automotive OEM’s defined Automotive SPICE® standards can be used to assess the supplier’s process performance and capability to deliver a quality product. Setting up processes compliant with the ASPICE process model becomes very important. It provides the foundation for achieving compliance with the Cyber Security requirements of ISO 26262 and ISO 21434. ASPICE v3.1 stands as a current version that focuses more on what is required to deliver a quality product with the collection of Industry Best Practices that helps in Process Improvement resulting in a quality product.
CURRENT INDUSTRY CHALLENGES
Considering advancements in technology where the industry is heading towards autonomous driving features in cars, the complexity of the code has increased, resulting in a high possibility of defects/bugs in the field with a ripple effect of increased vehicle recalls with the reported field issues. The following is a list of important questions that can be answered with the assistance of ASPICE via a more efficient and successful implementation.
  • How do I deliver a Quality product with fewer or no defects/bugs by following a Lean process and still meet customer & industry needs?
  • How can I assure that all of my customer/platform criteria are implemented in my product before final delivery?
  • How do I identify Process Improvements at the organization level and roll them out to projects?
  • Can I follow Agile methodologies in my project and still demonstrate compliance with the ASPICE model?

A Brief Snapshot

The Automotive SPICE process assessment model (PAM) is intended for use when performing informant assessments of the process capability of developing embedded automotive systems. It was developed following the requirements of ISO/IEC 33004.

This Automotive SPICE process assessment model contains a set of indicators to be considered when interpreting the intent of the Automotive SPICE process reference model. These indicators may also be used when implementing a process improvement program after an assessment.
